Cut on the width to make two pieces into these dimensions:
Cut out a 4" (10cm) square from each corner of the two fleece rectangles.
Mark the fabric with fabric chalk or reference back to this descriptive photo on how all the “A” and “B” pieces should connect together.
With right sides facing up, place each piece side by side on the marks from Step 4.
Pin the top of A to the side A with wrong sides together. Do the same with Bs. (Refer to Step 4)
Cut 4"(10cm) deep and 1"(2.5cm) apart along the pinned area.
Note: See under step 8 to see other types of fringe styles before cutting as some fringe requires different depths and widths.
Tie the fringe of each side together.
Cut fringe on the bottom of the poncho. Cut 4"(10cm) deep and 1"(2.5cm) apart.
Enjoy your new poncho! Ponchos are cozy for cold weather! Have fun with your favorite print or solid and be creative!
