a) Cut 2 pieces of plastic canvas using the guide shown.
b) Use yarn to stitch the lines on each piece, as shown in the guide, weaving in ends as you go.
c) Overcast stitch around all the edges of both pieces.
d) Turn one piece a quarter turn so the points are offset. Place the pieces wrong sides together.
e) Carefully tuck each corner of the top piece between the corners of the bottom piece. It will start to form a 3D snowflake.
f) Stitch a loop in one corner for hanging. Your ornament is complete.
a) Cut 6 strips of plastic canvas, each 3 holes wide by 17 holes long.
b) With the yarn, start at the bottom right corner and overcast stitch up one long edge, leaving a 1” tail.
c) Fold the strip in half (short ends together) and overcast the short ends, securing the tail as you go.
d) Continue overcasting the other long edge. Weave in the end and trim the extra yarn. Repeat to make 6 teardrop shapes.
e) Thread a long piece of yarn on your needle. For each teardrop, count 6 holes down from the folded edge.
f) Insert the needle through one side, add a bead, then go through the other side at the same point. Repeat for all 6 teardrops on that same long piece of yarn.
g) Pull the teardrops into a circle and tie the ends together securely. Use the extra yarn to make a loop for hanging, then trim any excess.
