The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for support the planning, designing, and delivery of Marketing initiatives for multiple channels. The Marketing Coordinator must have a strong eye for design, and pay a high-level of attention to detail.

Salary: From $24.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and print store signs, posters, coupons and other materials for sales campaigns.
• Prepare and ship monthly mailbags with printed materials and memos to the stores.
• Create product sales lists.
• Create marketing calendars.
• Create and update sales campaign calendars.
• Manage customer database for email marketing and set up eblast campaigns
• Perform data entry and loyalty membership database management.
• Quality control - take responsibility for ensuring accuracy, consistency and maintaining a quality standard for all outgoing creative material.
• Edit and proofread content from other marketing team members.
• Support for administrative and marketing tasks.

Skills & Requirements:

To succeed in this position, you will bring excellent eye for advertising messages, and knowledge of digital marketing strategies to engage the consumer in this evolving environment.

• Post secondary education in marketing, business, graphic design, database management or a related field.
• Highly proficient on Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, advanced filters, sorting, extracting, importing, exporting files, graphics).
• Microsoft Word & Power Point.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and locations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and well-organized.
• Adobe InDesign - some knowledge
• Illustrator, Photoshop - knowledge of these is an asset
• Experience with Mailchimp, Hubspot or any other email marketing campaign management platform.
• Experience on Shopify or other similar online commerce platforms.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong eye for typography, colour, and layout.
• Experience and ability to create effective print and digital retail advertisements.
• Keen attention to detail with accuracy and consistency.
• Comfortable working in a PC platform.
• Knowledge of fashion, arts and craft is a plus.
• Experience designing for retail is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a background in fashion, crafts, or textiles, excellent Excel skills, and solid knowledge of packaging standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product & Inventory Management

• Set up and maintain SKUs for new and existing Notions items.
• Monitor inventory and anticipate reorder needs to ensure top-selling items are always in stock.
• Maintain current and accurate catalogues for the Notions products.

2. Purchasing & Order Processing

• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders and reorders.
• Maintain supplier and costing records in the system.
• Create and verify barcode labels in coordination with the warehouse.
• Follow up on order timelines, shipments, and production samples.
• Maintain tracking spreadsheets and outstanding order reports.

3. Sample Management & Quality Control

• Receive, label, and test samples (e.g., wash or function tests).
• Compare shipment samples to approved pre-production samples.
• Verify packaging accuracy and barcode readability.
• Prepare and distribute sample cards and display boards for internal and external use.

4. Compliance & Packaging

• Ensure all products meet government regulations regarding fiber, metal content, and packaging requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of packaging materials, labeling standards, and retail compliance.
• Support packaging updates and product labeling accuracy.

5. Communication & Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers, mills, buyers, warehouse staff, and sales divisions.
• Communicate order status, delays, and quality issues promptly.
• Assist with social media or marketing support where needed (labels, posters, photos).
• Collaborate with the manager to consolidate quotations and prepare product boards.

6. Professionalism & Team Support

• Communicate respectfully and professionally with coworkers and external partners.
• Respond to emails and calls within 24 hours.
• Follow company policies and maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Support team and company-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fashion, purchasing, merchandising, or inventory coordination
• Hands-on sewing or craft experience is a strong asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data management systems.
• Strong knowledge of packaging standards and labeling compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
