Hemming pants is an easy process, and we’re going to show you how! All you need is a needle and
thread, but pins are helpful too. If you’re a sewing newbie, grab a starter sewing kit, from
your local Fabricland, as it will have all you need and more!
- Thread your needle, and fold the edge up to where you want to shorten.
- Add pins to help hold it in place. Insert your threaded needle right below the edge of the
hem going through both layers.
- In the same direction, push your needle back through the fabric and pull though.
- In between your last stitch, insert your needle and create another stitch, pushing through
to the other side. Pull through and repeat.
- It should look like this on the other side.
- Once you’ve sewn the entire thing, fold the pant into itself to reveal your seam.
- With the pants inside out, attach the excess material to the leg using tiny stitches. They
should be so small that they aren’t visible from the other side.
- Iron the pants, and you’re ready to wear!
