This Star Appliqué Pouch is the bag charm you didn't know you needed. Wanna make one?

What You Need:

• Star Appliqué, or one of your choice
• Medium Weight Felt, Black
• Hook Swivel & D-Ring Set
• Bag Ring, Silver
• Non-Separating Zipper

What You Do:

1. Trace and Cut the Felt – Trace the shape of your appliqué onto medium weight felt, and cut out two of these shapes.
2. Attach the Front Panel - Glue one felt shapes to the back of your appliqué, which is the front of your pouch.
3. Create the Side Strip - Cut a strip of the same colour medium weight felt that is 1.5 inches wide and long enough to wrap all the way around your appliqué. If one strip isn’t long enough, join two together.
4. Add the Zipper - Cut a slit down the centre of the strip. Insert your zipper into the opening and secure it by sewing or gluing it in place.
5. Attach the Side Strip - Sew the strip around the edge of the appliqué front, aligning the edges as you go.
6. Prepare the Back Panel - Take the second felt shape and sew a D-ring onto it so it can be used as a keychain.
7. Assemble the Pouch - Sew the back panel to the side strip, enclosing the pouch. To keep everything aligned use small anchoring stitches at key points before fully sewing the pieces together.
