If life gives you craft supplies, make lemons!
What You Need:
What You Do:
- Cut 8 pieces of ribbon to approximately 5 inches each.
- Cut 6 pieces of ribbon to approximately 6 inches each.
- Using a felted wool pressing pad, pin down the 6 pieces of 6 inch ribbon so they lay side by
side on the pad. Make sure you pin your ribbons face down.
- Take the 8 pieces of 5 inch ribbon and pin them so they are laying side by side parallel to
the 6 inch ribbons. Weave all the ribbons together, alternating going under and over.
- Attach a 4x5 piece of adhesive felt to the back.
- Add fabric glue to the areas where the adhesive felt didn’t attach to.
- While the glue dries, cut out your lemon template.
- Trace the lemon shape onto felt, and cut it out with pinking shears.
- Add glue around the border of the lemon at the back, leaving a gap of 1.5 inches, and place
on a piece of regular (not adhesive backed) felt. Wait for glue to dry. Then carefully cut
off the excess felt using the pinking sheers.
- Cut out two leaves, and attach the horse eye jewels with glue.
- Stuff the lemon with cotton batting, and sew or glue to seal the opening. Glue on your
leaves, and you’re done!
