Bridal Veil

Create your own veil for under $30!

Materials You Will Need:

What You Do:

  • To start, fold the tulle into quarters. Clip the layers so the material stays in place while you cut a curve into the tulle. The longer the curve, the longer the veil. For a shorter veil, cut the tulle into a circle.
  • To make the veil shape, fold the tulle a bit off centre, and pin at the midpoint.
  • Taking a thread and needle, gather the tulle starting 6 inches from the midpoint on either side. The length of the gathered tulle should be the same length as your hair comb.
  • Place the inner concave edge of the comb onto the outside of the veil, aka: the shorter side. It looks backwards, but the veil will be flipped later.
  • Sew the veil into the teeth of the comb so the stitches are hidden.
  • You can stop here for a very Audrey Hepburn/Arianna Grande veil, or keep going by adding pearls.
  • Add clips while the veil is hanging to know where you want to attach the pearls. Keep going until the veil looks full.
