Keep your cellphone handy at all times with the help of this simple & stylish DIY macramé crossbody bag.
Repeat motion on the other side to complete the square.
Cut 3 pieces of 60” cord. Braid pieces together leaving 2” of loose ends.
Cut a new piece of cord measuring 8” (or the perimeter of your cellphone). Tie ends to form a circle. Knot both ends of braided strap to the circle.
Cut 24 pieces x 50” of cord. Attach each piece to circle piece with Lark’s Head knots. Distribute cords evenly between both sides of the straps.
Create the body of the bag using the Square Knot method.
Create enough Square Knot rows to fit the length of your phone (approx. 21 rows). Finish the bag by doubleknotting the cords along the bottom of the bag.
Trim tassels to desired length. Seal edges of all cord with Fabri-Tac to prevent fraying.
